PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium supply device possible to insert/draw a tray without generating interference with other members, and to provide a recording device with the same. SOLUTION: This recording medium supply device is provided with a first supply roller 142a for feeding the recording medium inside the tray 110 in a direction opposite to the supply direction to a recording unit, a second supply roller 142b for feeding the recording medium fed by the first supply roller in the supply direction, and a guide part 143 for picking up a tip of the recording medium fed from the second supply roller to guide it to a recording unit for supply. An interference preventing part 118 is provided in the tray to prevent the generation of interference by raising the guide part when inserting/drawing the tray. With this structure, since the tray can be inserted and drawn in the condition that the guide part is raised and the guide part is lowered immediately after inserting the tray to make the guide part contact with the printing paper sheets inside the tray, the printing paper sheets can be inserted/drawn without generating interference of the tray or the printing paper sheets with the guide part.
