PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve come-out in a bit straight advancing type air impact driver. SOLUTION: The peak torque of an impact clutch is set to a value less than a come-out critical value and not less than the minimum torque required for screw fastening, to prevent the occurrence of come-out in the bit straight advancing type air impact driver not adjustable in bit pressing load by operator' s hand. To prevent a lowering of work efficiency caused by a lowering of torque, a stopper means for limiting a hammer swing angle of an impact clutch is provided to stabilize the peak torque, and a rotating system is reduced in weight to increase the number of strikes to thereby improve efficiency.
