FIELD: mechanical engineering; lifting and transportation equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed load crossmember contains frame with longitudinal and transverse beams, body and grips hinge-mounted on frame. Said beams are made to form detachable frame movably connected with body by means of flexible tie- rods hinge-secured, respectively, on frame and body. Grips are replaceable, being secured, respectively, on extreme transverse beams of frame by means of re-fittable pins passed through holes made on each extreme transverse beam at preset distances from longitudinal axis of frame. Body is box structure with cutout in upper wall to accommodate load hook of load-lifting device in body space. Means for coupling with load hook also includes other re-fittable pins passed through holes made in side walls of body at preset distances from each other. Load crossmember is furnished with device to fix body and frame relative to each other in transportation position. Load chains can be used as flexible tie-rods, and tongs can be used as grips. Levers of tongs can be furnished with handles. EFFECT: improved convenience in use. 5 cl, 4 dwg
