FIELD: electrical engineering, stuffing arrangements for liquid-immersed cables, submersible motors. SUBSTANCE: stuffing box has case secured on cable end with insulated cable conductors disposed in its bore. Cable lug of each conductor is provided with blind butt-end hole accommodating stripped-insulation conductor lead of respective conductor; conductor insulation and outer surface of cable lug are covered with several layers of insulating and sealing film. Sealing member with holes passing film-covered cable conductors is secured in case bore. Sealing member is made of flexible material whose electric strength is high enough to sustain breakdown voltage across sealing member mass ranging between 10 and 15 kV. Conductor lead and part of its respective lug are disposed inside insulating sleeve. Such arrangement prevents ingress of liquid over current conductors and their corrosion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of stuffing box and electric strength of insulation between extension cable conductors and stuffing-box case. 5 cl, 3 dwg
