PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To takes countermeasures for prevention against flawing of the display screen of a liquid crystal panel and sticking of dust and dirt to the screen while decreasing the number of components and the manufacturing man-hour. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with the liquid crystal panel 20, a transparent plate 2 which is arranged above the display screen 21, and a protection cover 10 which has a rectangular opening 1 and is molded integrally with a frame part 11 formed around the opening 1 and supporting the transparent plate 2 and a frame part 15 formed around the frame part 11 and covering the part of the liquid crystal panel 20 except the display screen 21; and the frame part 11 of the protection cover 10 has a plane part 11a which supports the transparent plate 21 by being in contact with the whole edge 21a of the surface of the transparent plate 2 facing the transparent part 2 and projection parts 11b which connect with the plane part 11a, the projection parts 11b comes in contact with the liquid crystal panel 20 at the outer circumference of the display screen 21 to form a sealed space.
