PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a smaller characteristic difference of initialization discharge in respective discharge cells of red, green, and blue. SOLUTION: Two substrates 10 and 20 are faced to each other, and discharge cells 30r, 30g, and 30b of red, green, and blue having respective phosphor layers emitting red, green, and blue lights are formed between the substrates. Address electrodes 21r, 21g, and 21b are disposed on one substrate 20 correspondingly to the discharge cells 30r, 30g, and 30b of respective colors. The shape of the address electrode 21g added to the discharge cell 30g of at least one color, of the address electrodes 21r, 21g, and 21b added to respective discharge cells 30r, 30g, and 30b, is different from those of the address electrodes 21r and 21b added to the discharge cells 30r and 30b of the other colors.
