PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change priority of a distributed object. SOLUTION: In this system, an apparatus mounting an operation system OS and a priority map PM for converting priority functions in a distributed object obj operated under the operation system, the object obj can receive a request from a remote apparatus connected via a network, and the object obj receiving the request is processed with the OS-ready priority converted by the priority map PM for converting priority on the basis of the value of CORBA priority given to the object. The system is provided with a map server 200 SV holding the priority map PM, which is defined desirably for converting the priority value between a native priority value as the OS-ready priority of each apparatus and the CORBA priority value, for each apparatus or for each OS and allowing rewriting of contents in each priority map PM and a map initializing means 300 arranged in each apparatus for requesting transmission of the priority map PM for itself and set to use the priority map PM transmitted from the map server SV by the request as a priority map for conversion on the apparatus side.
