PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting device using a push-button type ACC/ engine starting switch 5, whereby the operation is carried out simply and easily and the safety is enhanced by precluding the engine from being started only through a switch operation. SOLUTION: The engine starting device is composed of: an on-vehicle unit 1 to make communication with a portable unit 11; an integrated control part 2; an engine control part 3; an ACC power supply control part 4; the push-button type ACC/engine starting switch 5 which emits on-signals when it is pressed; and a brake pedal switch 6 which emits on-signals when the brake pedal is stamped in, and if the on-vehicle unit 1 authenticates the portable unit 11 upon establishing a communication with the portable unit 11 on the basis of the on-signal of the starting switch 5, the engine start and the power supplying to the ACC are conducted, while the integrated control part 2 performs the engine start and the power supplying to the ACC when the on-signals of the starting switch 5 and the pedal switch 6 are given and performs only power supplying to the ACC when the on-signal of the starting switch 5 is given.
