PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively demolish and remove a large scaled boiler. SOLUTION: When a boiler 1 installed in a state hung in a building is demolished and removed, a vertically movable frame 8 moved up and down by a jack 6 installed at the top of the building 2 is installed in the under side of the boiler. The boiler is cut off in blocks in sequence from the undermost part while supporting the boiler from the lower side by the vertically movable frame 8, and the cut off boiler is mounted on the frame 8 to vertically transfer to the building bottom. A secondary demolishing chamber 10 communicating with the building bottom is provided and the demolished blocks B are horizontally transferred to the secondary demolishing chamber and subdivided and removed. The head of the boiler and the top girder 3 supporting the surrounding devices and the whole boiler are demolished and removed as a head device in a lump.
