A printer with a guillotine cutter having a movable cutter and a fixed cutter arranged removable, and has no variation in the relative position between the fixed cutter and the movable cutter is provided. A cutter fitting member that has a bottom plate and a pair of side plates is fixed to the outside of a casing. The side plates of the cutter fitting member have a first projection and a second projection. The cutter fitting member has positioning holes on the first projection. Small projections of a movable cutter driving section of the guillotine cutter are engaged with these positioning holes to carry out positioning, and are fitted with screws. The upper end of the second projection has a first side that is parallel with the bottom side, and a second side that is perpendicular to the first side. A removable fixed cutter is disposed such that a bottom surface of a projection in the width direction is in close contact with the first side, and a right end surface of the projection is in close contact with the second side.
