A work conveying system capable of reducing a weight, a size and a time required for the installation of the system and easily coping with a system change such as the change and increased of a track layout and a self-propelling work conveying pallet (2) used for the system, the work conveying system comprising a track (3) having two parallel rails (3a) and the self-propelling work conveying pallet (2) having both side wheels (6) rotating on the rail (3a), a motor rotating the wheels (6), a chargeable battery for driving the motor, a work placing part (9) detachably installed on the self-propelling work conveying pallet (2) and allowing a work (4) to be placed thereon, and a control circuit for controlling the operation of the self-propelling work conveying pallet (2); the self-propelling work conveying pallet (2) comprising the work placing part (9) and a body part (2a), and a part of the body part (2a), wherein a part of the body part (2a) is positioned on the lower side of a track face between two rails (3a).
