<p>Plastics thread or threads along a line joining the rear ends of the fastener links is fused into the carrier tape at points where the links are to be stripped to produce fastener length ends. The area of the tape width limited by the thread(s) is removed together with the links, forming as it does so a seam which prevents the tape fraying.</p> |
