A fixing apparatus having a fixing film (24) for use in an electrophotographic apparatus for fusing toner images to a copy substrate, the fixing film (24) comprising a fluorinated carbon filled fluoroelastomer, and in embodiments, the fixing film (24) comprises an optional substrate (32), an optional intermediate layer (33) provided thereon, and an outer fluorinated carbon filled fluoroelastomer layer (30) provided on the intermediate layer (33).
