LACTIC ACID BACTERIA HAVING HIGH HEAVY METAL ADSORPTION ACTIVITY AND DAIRY PRODUCTS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Lactic acid bacteria having high heavy metal adsorption activity and dairy products using the same are provided, thereby easily adsorbing heavy metals in the human body. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism Enterococcus faecium (KCTC 18069P) isolated from infant feces has the high heavy metal adsorption activity, wherein Enterococcus faecium (KCTC 18069P) shows the excellent heavy metal adsorption activity among microorganisms isolated from fermented foods, wastewater, soils, rivers and infant saliva. Dairy products are produced by using Enterococcus faecium (KCTC 18069P) as a starter and other conventional lactic acid bacteria.
