PURPOSE: A method is provided to allow for improved accuracy of ignition timing control by reducing errors of ignition angle even in the case of sudden change of engine RPM. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(210) of calculating an engine ignition angle of a vehicle; a step(220) of calculating an engine dwell time of the vehicle; a step(230) of detecting whether the current segment contains a missing tooth; a step(240) of detecting an engine RPM of the vehicle; a step(250) of calculating an engine ignition timing and dwell timing on the basis of the data obtained from the calculation and detection; and a step(260) of generating an output signal on the basis of the calculated engine ignition timing and dwell timing, and outputting an engine ignition related control signal to an ignition drive terminal.
