STENT FOR THERMAL TREATMENT AND APPARATUS FOR THERMAL TREATMENT

PURPOSE: A stent for thermal treatment of disordered region and an apparatus for the treatment are provided to attain necrosis of tissue in the region, in particular, inner cavity of body by applying heat to the region. CONSTITUTION: The stent comprises a main body(2) to conduct necrosis of the inner cavity by extending the inner cavity narrowed too much then heating the cavity by external power supply; and two insulation parts(4) at both sides of the main body(2) to protect other area excluding the inner cavity from being burned. The stent is preferably made of metallic wire with high elasticity and corrosion-resistance and in a cylindrical mesh form. The material forming the stent is also featured of not being altered in properties even when applying heat to the main body(2). The stent also has two wires(W1,W2) connected to the main body(2) and a power supply(6), respectively, and a thermal band(W3) for measuring temperature of the body(2).
