PURPOSE: An EC(Electronic Commerce) service system and method is provided to enable a purchaser to easily find data on a commodity and to participate in a bid via a broadcasting media as well as a wired and wireless network so that it can be actively operated. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a commodity management database(421), a bid management database(423), a bid registration module(320), a bid processing module(330), and an information providing module(350). The commodity management database(421) stores the highest bidding price, the lowest bidding price, a sale quantity and others of each commodity. The bid management database(423) stores bidding data for each commodity. The bid registration module(320) registers the bidding price, received from a terminal of a bidder, at the bidding management database. The bid processing module(330) selects successful bidders as many as the sale quantity based on the bidding prices stored at the bid management database(423). The information providing module(350) provides the information on the commodities, to be bidden, for the broadcasting media.
