PURPOSE: A battery pack having a spatially-divided second protecting circuit is provided to protect a battery cell by spatially separating the second protecting circuit from another component. CONSTITUTION: A battery cell(1) has a package form. An external terminal(2) is connected to external power or load to serve as a terminal in charging or in discharging of the battery pack. A charging/discharging circuit(3) is connected between the external terminal(2) and the battery cell(1) to perform a charge or discharge operation. A first protecting circuit(7) detects a charging voltage of the battery cell(1) to control operation of the charging/discharging circuit(3). A fuse(4) is connected between the battery cell(1) and the charging/discharging circuit(3) to break power in an over-charge state of the battery cell(1). A second protecting circuit(8) detects a charging voltage of the battery cell(1) to operate the fuse(4) according to the over-charge of the battery cell(1).
