PURPOSE: A heating and cooling apparatus using a heat pump is provided to stably supply at relatively high temperature and low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A heating and cooling apparatus includes a subterranean heat circulation tube(1) storing subterranean heat circulation medium circulated between a geological stratum with uniform distribution of temperature and an outside of the surface of the land in fixed direction; a heat pump circulation tube(15) having a four-way electronic valve(3), a compressor(5), a cooling check valve(7), a heating expansion valve(9), a heating check valve(11) and a cooling expansion valve(13) arranged thereon in order for heating and cooling cycle, and allowing refrigerant circulated therein to circulate selectively in one direction or the other direction; a subterranean heat exchanger(17) placed between the heat pump circulation tube and the subterranean heat circulation tube, and receiving uniform temperature from the subterranean circulation medium in the subterranean heat circulation tube to thermally convert low temperature and low pressure refrigerant and high temperature and high pressure refrigerant in the heat pump circulation tube into high temperature and high pressure refrigerant and low temperature and low pressure refrigerant, respectively; and at least one heat exchanger(21,25,27) installed on the heat pump circulation tube, and exchanging heat following one of the heating cycle and the cooling cycle of the heat pump circulation tube to supply hot or cold supply water to a heating and cooling circulation tube(19).
