PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for adjusting an angle of a rear-view mirror for a van are provided to confirm whether the end of clothes of a child is interposed at the gap of the side door of the van to prevent an accident. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for adjusting an angle of a rear-view mirror for a van is composed of a motor(2) for adjusting the mirror angle, a first relay(4) for operating the motor, a mirror angle adjuster(7), a controller(8), a second and a third relay(5,6) for supplying electric power to the motor. An apparatus for adjusting the angle of the rear-view mirror further comprises a door opening/closing detector(9) and a timer(10). The rear-view mirror is folded/unfolded by motor according to a key state on a key box. The timer generates signals when the door is closed after the opening of the door.
