PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the tolerance with respect to an alignment when forming a cathode electrode by forming a dummy sidewall so as to cover at least one side of a displaying region. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of anode electrodes(34) are separately formed on a substrate at predetermined intervals. An insulating film(36) having an opening is formed on every EL(Electroluminescence) cell region of the substrate. A sidewall(38) is provided on the insulating film(36) in order to divide a light emitting layer and a cathode electrode(42). An organic light emitting layer and the cathode electrode(42) are sequentially deposited on the whole insulating film(36). The organic light emitting layer is formed by depositing a hole transportation layer, the light emitting layer, and an electron transportation layer.
