摘要 PURPOSE: A method is provided to maintain the difference of fuel pressures in the fuel hose and fuel tank constant through the use of a single pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(301,303) of checking whether the first predetermined time period has lapsed after the engine start so as to maintain the fuel pressure in the fuel hose at the first level; a step(305) of averaging the filter fuel pressure calculated from the actual fuel pressure of the fuel hose which is input during the second predetermined time period and the actual fuel pressure which is input prior to the second predetermined time period, and setting the average value as the first reference value; a step(307) of calculating the first average value by averaging the filter fuel pressure calculated from the actual fuel pressure in the fuel hose which is input during the third predetermined time period and the actual fuel pressure which is input prior to the third predetermined time period; a step(309) of comparing the first average value and the first reference value, and judging the first actual fuel pressure as a stable value if the first average value is smaller than the first reference value; a step(311,313) of judging the second actual fuel pressure as a stable value if the difference of filter fuel pressures calculated from the second actual fuel pressure in the fuel hose which is input during the fourth predetermined time period and the actual fuel pressure which is input prior to the fourth predetermined time period is smaller than the second reference value; a step(315) of setting the fuel pressure in the fuel tank to the value lower than the second actual fuel pressure if the actual fuel pressure is judged as the stable value, and maintaining the stored fuel pressure of the fuel tank if the actual fuel pressure is judged as an unstable value; and a step(317) of maintaining the difference between the fuel pressure in the fuel tank which is set in the previous step and the fuel pressure in the fuel hose constant.
