<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a freeze-dried product of sweet corn grains having excellent hot or warm water reconstitution properties by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the freeze-dried product of the sweet corn grains having the excellent hot or warm water reconstitution properties comprises freeze-drying the sweet corn grains and then peeling the thin skin of the sweet corn grains. Furthermore, the method for producing the freeze-dried product of the sweet corn grains having the excellent hot or warm water reconstitution properties comprises coating the sweet corn grains with saccharides and/or a sugar alcohol, then freeze-drying the coated grains and subsequently peeling the thin skin of the sweet corn grains. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
