<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material which prevents irregularities and luster from being generated on the surface of an ink receiving layer and also a visual qualitative deterioration and an aromatic loss due to the application of the ink receiving layer and further, exhibits superb printability while maintaining advantages such as seen in the utilization of a material wood as a base material. <P>SOLUTION: This recording material includes the ink receiving layer comprising a 30 to 200 μm-thick natural wood base material and at least a mat material with a basis weight of 2 to 10 g/m<SP>2</SP>and a binder, formed on the base material. In addition, the recording material based on the natural wood shows an average roughness, in the center line, of the surface of the ink receiving layer of 4.0 μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
