PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a 5-amino-4-nitrosopyrazole compound from easily available raw materials in a high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the 5-amino-4-nitrosopyrazole compound represented by general formula (3) (R2is H, or an alkyl or an aryl which may have one or more substituents) is characterized by reacting a 3- dialkoxyacrylonitrile represented by general formula (1) (R1is a 1 to 4C alkyl) with a nitrosyl halide in the presence of an alcohol and then reacting the reaction product with a hydrazine compound represented by general formula (2): H2NNHR2in the presence of an acid.
