PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polymorphism forms I, II, III and IV of fasidotril, to provide methods for producing them and to obtain pharmaceutical compositions containing them. SOLUTION: The polymorphism forms of benzyl (S,S)-2-(2- acetylsulfanylmethyl-3-benzo[1,3]dioxol-5-ylpropionylamino)propionate (fasidotril) are characterized by specific powder X-ray diffraction spectra and differential scanning thermal analysis spectra.
