PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device for continuing a power assist even if failure is caused in EEPROM for storing zero point correction torque of a torque sensor. SOLUTION: When the zero point correction torque cannot be read out since the EEPROM causes failure (YES in Step S110), attention is paid to a difference between main conversion torque and sub-conversion torque (Step S120, and 130), and when the former is larger than the latter (YES in Step S120), positive sub-correction torque for zero point is used (Step S170). When both are almost equal (YES in Step S130), a zero point correction is made by a default value of zero (Step S160). When the former is smaller than the latter (NO in Step S130), the zero point correction is made by using negative sub-correction torque (Step S140) for zero point.
