FIELD: cold plastic metal working, possibly in different branches of machine engineering for finish dimensional strengthening processes. SUBSTANCE: machine tool for reducing end portions of shafts includes housing with stationary support and slide, both mounted in housing and having central coaxial openings; seat provided in stationary support for placing tool holder; framework rigidly joined with slide; electric motor; worm reduction gear connected with electric motor through wedge-belt transmission; chain transmission. Machine tool also includes front support mounted in housing and having opening coaxial relative to opening of stationary support; front sleeve arranged inside front support with possibility of rotation (slide is arranged in front sleeve with possibility of axial motion); back sleeve rigidly mounted in central opening of stationary support; back center arranged in back sleeve with possibility of axial lengthwise motion and secured to framework; front spring-loaded center arranged in central opening of slide. Seat with tool holder is made in such a way that it is coaxial relative to central opening of stationary support and of slide. Ratchet clutch is mounted in outlet shaft of worm reduction gear. On outer surface of slide and on end portion of inner surface of sleeve at side turned to chain transmission there are threaded portions. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of machine tool due to its improved design. 1 dwg
