PURPOSE: An intermediate heat exchange type refrigerating apparatus is provided to simplify constitution thereof. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a compressor(10) compressing refrigerant gas to be at high temperature and high pressure, and discharging; a condenser(20) condensing refrigerant compressed in the compressor into liquid; a strainer(30) removing foreign matters fro high temperature and high pressure liquid refrigerant condensed in the condenser; a side glass(40) allowing visually checking amount of fresh gas contained in liquid refrigerant with foreign matters removed; an intermediate heat exchanger(70) installed on a lower structure of an evaporator tank, and primarily cooling down liquid refrigerant having passed the side glass; an expansion valve(80) installed on an upper structure of the evaporator tank, and expanding liquid refrigerant primarily cooled down in the intermediate heat exchanger to be low pressure liquid refrigerant; and an evaporator(90) installed on the upper structure of the evaporator tank, evaporating refrigerant expanded in the expansion valve to use latent heat of evaporation of refrigerant for refrigeration, and returning gaseous refrigerant evaporated to be at low temperature and low pressure to the compressor.
