PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low cost and easily designable optical information recording/reproducing device that can record and reproduce the information by using lights of two or more beams in parallel. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is constituted of a light source unit 1 having two light emitting points, a collimating lens 2 for converting luminous flux from the light source unit 1 to the almost parallel lights, a beam splitter 3 for separating two-ways of the light, an objective lens 4 for converging the luminous flux, a detection lens 6 for converging the lights reflected from the optical recording medium 5, and photodetectors 7, 8 for photoelectrically converging the reflected lights.
