<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the conventional method for manufacturing a solar cell includes a step for forming an PN joint by dispersing a semiconductor impurity on a semiconductor substrate, a step for forming a joint isolation part by partly removing the PN joint through sandblasting and isolating it electrically, and a step for forming a collector, and the joint isolation part may be microscopically broken when the method is used, degrading the whole characteristic of the solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the solar cell includes a step for forming both a dispersion layer where a semiconductor impurity is dispersed on the surface of a semiconductor substrate and an entire surface including its surface and a covering film covering the dispersion layer, a step for isolating electrically the surface and back of the semiconductor substrate by removing the dispersion layer adjacent to the outer circumferential part of the back thereof, a step for etching where the semiconductor substrate is dipped in a wet-etching liquid for a specified time to etch the surfacial layer part in which the dispersion layer is removed and the covering film, a step for removing the covering film of the semiconductor substrate and exposing the dispersion layer, and a step for forming a BSF layer on the back of the semiconductor substrate and providing an electrode on the semiconductor substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
