PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the power converting efficiency of a compound resonance type converter provided with a current resonance type converter at a primary side. SOLUTION: As a compound resonance type converter, a partial voltage resonance circuit is combined with the current resonance type converter at the primary side, and a secondary side partial voltage resonance circuit is structured for a secondary side. With regard to an insulated converter transformer that transmits electric power from the primary side to the secondary side, a core that is structured by combining a double channel shape core with a U shape core is used and primary and secondary windings are wound on the core in required winding widths. Also, the primary side is coupled tightly to the secondary side without forming a gap at the magnetic foot of the core. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
