PURPOSE: A device for compensating power failure of a home appliance is provided to actually compensate the power failure by advancing an operation before the power failure without stopping the operation of a flash memory with an EEPROM(Electronically Erasable Programmable ROM). CONSTITUTION: A main memory stores the additional data as well as the data needed to operate the home appliance. A non-volatile memory, which comprises the EEPROM, stores the power failure compensation data needed to the operation in order to operate the home appliance without stopping the main memory while storing the additional data to the main memory after the power failure.
