<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength stabilizing light source and a method for controlling startup of a light emitting element with which deterioration in crosstalk with a vicinity wavelength at startup can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: At start up of a laser diode 1, an output shut-down circuit 6 shuts down an output of the laser diode 1 to avoid an oscillated light of the laser diode 1 from being outputted. The control of a chip temperature of the laser diode 1 is started from the state to stabilize the temperature to a temperature corresponding to a desired wavelength. When the chip temperature of the laser diode 1 is stabilized, the output shut-down circuit 6 is made off to release the shut-down of the laser diode 1, which results in outputting the oscillated light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
