<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system equipped with a hydrogen detector to detect hydrogen contained in the off-gas discharged from the oxygen electrode of the fuel cell, wherein the sensor is prevented from bedewing. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen detector 12 of this fuel cell system is installed on a cathode off-gas piping 11B through which the cathode off-gas discharged from the fuel cell flows. A riser passage for heating the hydrogen detector 12 is connected with a cooling circuit through which a coolant to cool the fuel cell flows. The hydrogen detector 12 is mounted removably on the cathode off-gas piping 11B through a riser member 15, and inside the riser member 15 a passage 59 is formed surrounding the sensing part 52 of the hydrogen detector 12. With this passage 59 the riser passage 31 is connected, and the heated coolant discharged from the coolant passage of the fuel cell is allowed to flow to the riser passage 31 and the passage 49. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
