PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a light emitting element from deterioration by effectively eliminating or reducing the heat generated when driving a light emitting element which decomposes or crystallizes the organic compound included in an light emitting element. SOLUTION: Layers including organic compound and thin films including carbon as a main component are alternately laminated between two electrodes to reduce the driving voltage of the light emitting element by utilizing a tunnel effect, and to effectively eliminate or reduce the heat generated when driving the light emitting element. Further, concentration of electric field, and short circuit which might be generated between positive and negative electrodes are prevented by forming the thin film including carbon as a main component on the film including organic compound.
