SOLUTION: This is an electroluminescence device 1 that has a substrate 2 on one face of which electroluminescence element 3 is formed and a sealing member 5 which is adhered to the substrate 2 through an adhesive 4 that is provided so as to surround the electroluminescence element 3. A level difference part 8 is formed on the jointing face with the adhesive 4 of the sealing member 5, and this level difference part 8 is made tall on the inner side of the adhesive 4 and low on the outside of this.
