<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out easily and at low cost the patterning process in the patterning of the many upper electrodes 14 by irradiation of laser beam on the metal membrane 19 in the electroluminescence display device which is comprised of many lower electrodes 12 made in long and narrow stripe pattern formed on the surface 11a of a transparent electrode 11, an organic electroluminescence layer 13, many upper electrodes 14 made in long and narrow stripe pattern, and a cap body 15 adhered on the surface of the transparent substrate 11 so as to seal these. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam is irradiated from the back face 11b side of the transparent substrate 11 on the above metal membrane 19 sealed by the cap body 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
