PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment which can reduce a power consumption by simplifying retrieval of a stored telephone directory in the equipment such as a portable telephone or the like. SOLUTION: The radio communication equipment comprises a first display unit 19a, a second display unit 19b having a smaller display region than the first unit, a storage unit 21 for storing a destination originating from the equipment, and a control unit 16 for controlling the operation of the equipment. In this equipment, the unit 16 reads information of originating destination stored in the unit 21 in a state in which the operation of the unit 19a is stopped, displays the information on the unit 19b, and can retrieve the destination stored in the unit 21 by using the unit 19b.
