PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the enhancing of recording speed. SOLUTION: A CPU 11 determines the size of a data block consisting of clusters based on delete block information and cluster information acquired from a memory stick 31, adjusts the starting position of the data block based on the size of the data block, and initializes the memory stick 31. When recording dynamic image in the memory stick 31, the CPU 11 records dynamic image data in only a data block where all the clusters are unoccupied.
