摘要 PURPOSE: A packet scheduling device for a wireless delay proportion differentiation service and a method therefor are provided to adaptively select a class to be serviced next on the basis of a delay service degree between currently serviced classes in consideration of the bursted and location-dependent channel error characteristic of a wireless network, and transmit a packet to the selected class. CONSTITUTION: A packet classifier(100) analyzes headers of inputted packets, and classifies the packets according to classes. A class-classified buffer(200) classifies and stores the packets inputted from the packet classifier(100) according to the classes. The class-classified buffer(200) has a packet queue for storing the packets, and a slot queue for recording arrival times of the packets. A channel estimator(300) estimates a channel state between a wireless host and a base station in a next packet transmission time. A class quality measurer(400) measures an average delay ratio of each class. A service loss and gain calculator(500) calculates a service loss and gain according to each class, and stores the calculated service loss and gain value in a lag counter. A wireless packet scheduler(600) selects a class to be serviced next on the basis of a standby time, the channel state, and the average delay ratio of the slot queue and the lag counter, and transmits a corresponding packet to the selected class.
