PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a courtesy switching device to secure an appropriate detecting function and high reliability. SOLUTION: An operation for power load is controlled by detecting door opening and closing. A courtesy switch 10 is composed so that a wiring harness 14 shows different voltage states at normal time and abnormal time. The wiring harness 14 is sensed if it is normal or abnormal by detecting its voltage state. The courtesy switch 10 consists of a switch body 11 and two resistors 12 and 13 connected to the switch body 11 in parallel and series. Disconnection and short circuit are included as abnormality of the wiring harness 14, and the voltage state at the normal time is set up in the middle of each voltage state at the disconnection and the short circuit.
