Aerial work platform apparatus (1) comprising a vehicle (3), a work platform (5), a lift (7) on the vehicle (3) for elevating and lowering the work platform (5), and a stabilizer for inhibiting tipping over of the apparatus when the work platform (5) is elevated. The stabilizer is mounted on the vehicle (3) for movement between a raised retracted position and a lowered position for engagement with the surface traversed by the vehicle (3) should the apparatus (1) start tipping. A mechanism moves the stabilizer between its raised and lowered positions. |
