Vacant space in automotive battery box filled by U-shaped inverted pre-moulded plastic plug

An automotive main starter battery is installed in a battery box or frame, which on replacement of the battery, is too high for the replacement. The resultant excess space between the battery upper surface and the pre-sized battery restraint structure is esp. filled by an inverted U-shaped plug (1) inserted between the two. The plug (1) is a bridge-like pre-formed plastic structure extending over the battery.
