The electrical lighting unit has a lamp shade that is formed by fixing three identical panel elements [20] together. Each panel is produced of a semi transparent plastic and the panels are secured by corner fixings [30]. Cut outs are formed [25] together with partially cut panels [24]. When the three panels are fixed together folding along a center line occurs [27] and the center panel deflects into a curve.
