<p>An optical fiber cable, comprising an optical element part (11) having an optical fiber core (3) formed of a plurality of wires or a plurality of tape cores, an inclusion body (5) formed of heat resistant plastic yarn, organic fiber, or inorganic fiber vertically fitted to the optical fiber core (3) so as to surround the optical fiber core, and tension resistant bodies (7) for optical element disposed on both near sides of the inclusion body parallel with each other which are covered by a cable sheath (9), wherein notch parts (13) are formed in the surfaces of the cable sheath (9) on both sides of the inclusion body (5) in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the tension resistant bodies (7) for optical element are positioned parallel with each other.</p> |
