<p>An inexpensive parking operation assisting system in which the operating point of parallel parking operation can be judged intuitively. The parking operation assisting system previously determines a first guide line (43) extending obliquely rearward from its own vehicle (20) and indicating a boundary line for preventing contact with other vehicle (31) existing in front of a parking space (30) when parallel parking operation is started, and a second guide line (51) separated rearward from the guide line (43) and indicating a boundary line for preventing contact with other vehicle (31) existing in the rear of the parking space (30) when parallel parking operation is finished, wherein the guide lines are displayed on a monitor screen along with the rearward image at the time of parallel parking operation. Consequently, the vehicle (20) can be parked in the parking space (30) without touching other vehicles (31, 53).</p> |
