The present invention relates to new pyrazolopyridine derivatives of the formula (I)in which R<1 >represents 4-pyridinyl or 3-pyridinyl; R<2 >represents H, NH2 or halogen; and salts, isomers and hydrates thereof as stimulators of soluble guanylate cyclase and for use as agents for the treatment of cardiovascular disorders, hypertension, of thromboembolic disorders and ischaemia, sexual dysfunction or inflammation, and for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system.
