<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To irradiate almost uniformly the whole display member like a nameplate with a light output from one light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: In a wristwatch wherein a nameplate 11 and a pointer 12 are arranged in a wristwatch case 1 on which a watch glass 2 is mounted, a chip type UV light emitting element 14 is disposed in a central part of the lower surface of the watch glass 2, and light emitting parts 20 which react to a light in a UV region and generate a light in a visible light region are arranged on the nameplate 11 and the pointer 12. The UV light emitting element 14 generates a light in the central part of the lower surface of the wristwatch glass 2, so that a central part of the nameplate 11 does not become dark. The whole part of the nameplate 11 and the pointer 12 can be irradiated almost uniformly with the light in a UV region which the UV light emitting element 14 generates. As a result, each of the light emitting parts 20 reacts to the light in a UV region and generates the light in a visible light region, which illuminates the nameplate 11 and the pointer 12.
