PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and high Dmax, ensuring little stain after processing and exhibiting good performance even in rapid processing. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material, tabular silver halide grains having an average aspect ratio of≥12, a compound of formula (I) and a compound of formula (II) are contained in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion and the amount of a sensitizing dye of the formula (I) is 0.2×10<SP>-3</SP>-1.5×10<SP>-3</SP>mol per mol of silver.
